Pablo Emanuel et al. 2025. The study explores the intricate relationship between cannabis legislation, debates in Social Sciences and Sociology, emphasizing the move towards interdisciplinarity. It aims to analyze how scientific discussion on cannabis correlates with legal aspects and elucidate the dynamics shaping social understanding of the plant. This research seeks to understand how scientific literature reflects on and contributes to the debate on cannabis regulation in the Brazilian context. Bibliometric analysis was used to examine the sociological corpus on cannabis, gathering data from national and international publications. The methodology included identifying predominant disciplinary lines and comparing Brazilian and foreign approaches. Findings indicate a dominance of public health-focused studies in Brazil, in contrast to the thematic diversity in foreign research, which includes legal and sociocultural aspects.
