Foco e Escopo

A Revista Manzuá opera com os conceitos matriciais de Fluxo e Permeabilidade nas Artes Cênicas, com o objetivo de refletir sobre os modos contemporâneos de Teatro, Dança e Performance, assim como sobre Cultura Popular, Tecnologias, Escrituras Críticas e Processos Pedagógicos inovadores. Nos primeiros quatro anos de atividade a pretensão foi a de construir uma rede de solidariedade para marcar a etapa inicial da Manzuá (2018-2020)  e, como metáfora, lançamos nossa rede para os mares de Natal e a comunidade acadêmica global por meio de um debate científico, artístico e cultural no campo de concentração das Artes Cênicas.

Os quatro anos seguintes (2021-2024), marcados pela Pandemia de Covid-19, foi um poríodo em que testamos a modalidade fluxo contínuo (2021-2022) e, após a compreensão de que a nossa vocação é pela reunião temática (2023-2024), decidimos retomarmos duas publicações anuais com dossiês temáticos que revelam um período de amadurecimento da atividade editorial da Manzuá e, ainda, o fortalecimento de seus objetivos: manter-se como rede de debates nos quais a diversidade é o elemento principal.

Nesse sentido, a Manzuá abriu-se para uma diversidade de autorias: pesquisadores experientes e em processo de formação, mas, sobretudo, garantindo a publicação de mestrias populares. E ´é por aí que se anuncia o próximo quadriênio: fazer da Manzuá um espaço de debate artístico-científico-acadêmico no qual o diverso seja o mote principal. 

Manzuá Magazine operates with the matrix concepts of Flux and Permeability in the Performing Arts, with the aim of reflecting on contemporary modes of Theater, Dance and Performance, as well as Popular Culture, Technologies, Critical Scriptures and innovative Pedagogical Processes. In the first four years of activity, the intention was to build a solidarity network to mark the initial stage of Manzuá (2018-2020) and, as a metaphor, we launched our network into the seas of Natal and the global academic community through a scientific, artistic and cultural debate in the field of concentration of the Performing Arts.

The following four years (2021-2024), marked by the Covid-19 pandemic, were a period in which we tested the continuous flow modality (2021-2022) and, after realizing that our vocation is for thematic meetings (2023-2024), we decided to resume two annual publications with thematic dossiers that reveal a period of maturation in Manzuá's editorial activity and also the strengthening of its objectives: to maintain itself as a network of debates in which diversity is the main element.

In this sense, Manzuá has opened up to a diversity of authors: experienced researchers and those in the process of training, but above all, guaranteeing the publication of popular masters. And that's where the next four years lie: making Manzuá a space for artistic-scientific-academic debate in which diversity is the main theme.
