With sharp metaphors and a satirical tone, they portray the hypocrisy, manipulation and fall of those who govern with vanity and contempt for the people. While the first brings direct references to recent political events, the second adopts a more philosophical and timeless tone, both leading the reader to an intense reflection on leadership, justice and morality.
