ADÉLIA SAMPAIO E O “JÚRI DO AMOR MALDITO”
Abstract
This article intends to analyze the way “Cursed Love” by Adélia Sampaio, considered the first black Brazilian director, appeared in the press back in time. Therefore, it is intended to demonstrate how the journalistic critic perceived the film “Cursed Love” and how this perception is related to the reflections brought by the film. It was also part of our goal to understand the relations of the director's trajectory and her innovative role in national cinema, as well as the social discussions provoked by her work.
