Abstract

This review addresses the negative aspects of two female superhero films made before the hegemony of Marvel Studios. It points out the sexism of both productions, focusing too much on visual aspects rather than content. It’s our aim to criticizes the fact that despite the pompous budgets, the end result is
weak, a far cry from Catwoman and Elektra’s character comic books roots.
