Abstract

This article aims to understand the ambivalent nature of science. We start from the assumption that there is an intrinsic complexity at the core of science, which runs through its ethical foundations. This ambivalence becomes more evident when mankind starts to intensify the use of devices in the context of global contemporary society. This conjuncture creates bifurcations in the interaction mode of the human with the nonhuman.
Keywords: Ethics, science, bifurcation, device, contemporary.
