The present review of the book "Ellen Wood: the rescue of class and the struggle for democracy", published by Jefferson Nascimento in 2019, seeks to debate the concept of class in Ellen Wood, and from that point to relate the attempt to renew the historical materialism undertaken by the aforementioned author with her model of substantive democracy, in the light of the book object of this review. We will try to show how the book debates the possible articulation between class and democracy as an alternative to the liberal capitalist political model, according to Ellen Wood.Downloads
