This article aims to analyze the ideological frameworks of hegemonic disputes involving the June 2013 protests, having as agents analyzed the social groups that disputed their political orientation. It starts with a bibliographical review completed by documents from the time to defend the hypothesis that during the events of 2013 two political fields – one represented by the forces allied to the PT government of Dilma Rousseff; the other by the conservative opposition led by
the media constituted in a party under Gramscian terms – they disputed the meanings of the demonstrations, generating a political impasse that culminated in the temporary abandonment of the streets by the main political forces in the country.
