This article seeks to reflect on the significance of the new productive restructuring we are experiencing as a result of the transformations brought about by the era of artificial intelligence, focusing the analysis on two aspects: the transformations in the forms of value production and the expanded reproduction of capital resulting from the morphological changes in the world of work; and, within this process, to interpret the movement towards the "productivization" of work (transforming unproductive work into productive work). To do this, we propose to revisit the debate on productive and unproductive work in Karl Marx's critique of political economy, seeking to link these theoretical bases with the new phenomena and forms of labor. Finally, we propose to bundle the reflection with the debate on the "strategic positions" of the proletariat in this context of accelerated transformations, to understand the forces that lead to the fragmentation of such an extensive class and to reflect on the challenges posed for overcoming this problem.
