In this article we will investigate the feminist thought of bell hooks in order to highlight some of her main contributions to decolonial philosophy. Using an analytical-descriptive methodology that combines bibliographical review, close reading and creative writing, we will examine and outline hooks' perspective on the concept of intersectionality: a fundamental notion both for understanding the complexity of the oppressions faced by black women and for recognizing a correlation of forces between race, class and gender. In the meantime, we will detail how hooks emphasizes the need for an international articulation between feminists so that they can challenge dominant hierarchies and drive revolutions in society. A distinctive feature of her societal conception, which we intend to appreciate, is related to the valorization of communication as an indispensable tool for building solidarity among non-white activists in order to combat the violence that has survived and to transgress the norms established by the capitalist, racist and patriarchal system. In a nutshell, we aim to achieve as a result of this conceptual adventure a broader understanding of feminist blackness in order to strengthen a decolonial, anti-racist and anti-sexist activism that effectively contributes to the struggle for social justice and equal rights.
