The issue of ethics has become inseparable from artificial intelligence. However, Artificial Intelligence cannot be treated as a monolith, but as a heterogeneous field, especially after the advent of Generative Artificial Intelligence, which has had a great impact on societies in their most varied spheres. This article aims to draw attention to the differences between predictive Artificial Intelligence and generative Artificial Intelligence, with a view to highlighting that these differences affect the way in which ethics should be activated in each of these systems.
