LEGAL IMPERIALISM, THE ANTI-CORRUPTION AGENDA, AND THE INFLUENCE OF CORPORATE THINK TANKS IN BRAZIL.

This article focuses on analyzing the relationship between Brazilian think tanks and legal imperialism through the anti-corruption agenda. Based on the mapping of the actions, formulation, and influence of these instruments—especially throughout the 2010s—we argue that they are fundamental for the internalization of political, legal, ideological, and cultural patterns of legal imperialism. We present a survey of the positions of some of the main liberal and ultraliberal Brazilian think tanks, such as Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV), Instituto Millenium and Instituto de Estudos Empresariais (IEE). Next, we propose a research agenda to map these organizations in light of the attempts at substantial changes in the imperialist system during the Trump II administration and the direct apologetic use of unconventional wars, such as lawfare. Finally, we present our conclusions.
