This interview aims to present the trajectory and contributions of Professor Ângela Maria Paiva Cruz to university administration at the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, highlighting advances in the areas of internalization, internationalization, innovation, and inclusion. The professor discusses the creation of the Parque Científico e Tecnológico Augusto Severo and shares her reflections on innovation, gender equity, and regional development. She also addresses gender inequality in the exact sciences, advocating for public policies and affirmative action that increase the presence of women in academic leadership positions. According to her, this representation contributes to the construction of more innovative and inclusive environ ments. Finally, she reinforces the Park’s role in promoting social inclusion and strengthening the region’s sustainable development.
