Open Access and Open Science Policy — Revista Ciência Plural (RCP)
Revista Ciência Plural (RCP) provides immediate open access to all its content, with no embargo period. We believe that free public access to scientific knowledge strengthens the democratization of information and increases the social impact of research.
Costs for authors and readers
RCP does not charge fees for submission, peer review, editing, or publication. Access to all articles is free of charge for everyone.
Copyright and license
Authors retain the copyright to their works. Published articles are made available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International (CC BY 4.0) license, as described in the journal’s “Copyright and Licensing” policy.
Preprints
RCP accepts submissions of manuscripts previously posted as preprints, provided that this is disclosed at the time of submission (including the name of the server and a link/DOI when available). Posting a preprint is not considered prior publication and does not prevent the manuscript from being evaluated by the journal.
Data, materials availability, and transparency
RCP supports open science practices and encourages transparency and reproducibility. Therefore, manuscripts must include a Data Availability Statement, indicating:
-
where the data and/or materials can be accessed (repository, supplementary files, persistent link), or
-
the reasons for unavailability (e.g., ethical or legal restrictions, secrecy, confidentiality, and protection of participants).
When applicable, responsible sharing is recommended (e.g., anonymized datasets, controlled access, or availability upon justified request).
Editorial transparency
RCP values transparency in the scholarly record. Therefore, published articles may include editorial and publication information such as key dates in the editorial workflow (submission, acceptance, and publication) and identification of the editor responsible for the manuscript, where applicable under the journal’s practices.
