OS VENTOS DO NORTE TAMBÉM PODEM MOVER MOINHOS? “COMO SOBREVIVER A UMA PRAGA” E RESPOSTAS À EPIDEMIA DE HIV/AIDS

Abstract

This text thinks in responses about the HIV/AIDS epidemic starting from the documentary “How to survive a plague, directed by David France and released in 2012. The movie, though with pedagogical potentials, brings records of confrontations with AIDS in the United States, especially in the 80 and 90 decades, from the ACT UP, fight collective for the lives of people with AIDS. I use cartography as a way to go through the audiovisual paths in search of forces and affections that allow me to think about epidemic impacts in the past and present. I though about North winds like what wind from the North, in North and to others places around the planet, in a metaforic-dialogue with the music “Sangue Latino” [Latin Blood], looking for potentials that add with others winds and can move windmills in South in relation to contemporary dilemmas  of HIV/AIDS.
