Gender, Sexuality and Education: a state of knowledge

Abstract
This State of Knowledge emerged to support a doctoral thesis linked to the Postgraduate Program in Education and Contemporaneity, developed between the years 2019 and 2022. Qualitative in nature, its objective was to inventory master's and doctoral research on the Coordination portal for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes) in the period from 2010 to 2019, located in the Greater Area of Human Sciences and in the area of Education, with particular interest in work that addressed the identities of LGBTQIA+ teachers. The data analyzed shows a decrease in the development of this research from 2017 onwards resulting from investment cuts in previous years, but also points to declines due to the growth of the conservative wave.
