ANALYSIS OF CAMEROON POETICS: LOVE IS A FIRE THAT BLAZES WITHOUT SEEING

Abstract

The work portrays the times in camonian glories of the Portuguese conquests in the century of lights. From a Historical and situational contextualization of Portugal in sixteenth century, explaining how the author of Lusíadas like treasure of his time, that means that the poem “O Amor é Fogo que Arde sem se Ver” as a classic sonnet to study, characterized as human tipic of classicism. With the text chosen from the bibliography of Luiz Vaz de Camões of the kind of sonnet, there is their tendency to shelter the characteristics of the kind and the author. This study then performs an analysis of the shape, rhymes, and the metaphors ambiguities found in order to characterize the kind of camonian sonnets.
