Environmental education in the contexto of bachelor’s degrees in Engineering and Administration at ABC Universities

Abstract

The objective of this research is to highlight the actions of coordinators for the promotion of Environmental Education in Engineering and Administration higher education courses. Therefore, a field research was carried out with the coordinators of Bachelor's courses in Engineering and Administration in the municipalities of São Bernardo do Campo (SP), Santo André (SP) and São Caetano do Sul (SP). The study was exploratory and conducted through an interview with each coordinator and asked how Environmental Education is promoted by the coordinated course. The results demonstrate that the Teaching Institutions in Brazil still focus on Environmental Management using the disciplines as a matter of dissemination of this important theme.
