This article presents a comprehensive literature review on the French Revolution and its role in the emergence of the modern era. Through the analysis of a wide range of academic sources, highlighting basic books. From the study of these sources of historical studies, we seek to understand the impact of this revolution as a turning point in History. The lucubrations address the causes and the historical context that led to the emergence of the French Revolution, as well as the political, social and cultural transformations resulting from this revolutionary movement. The influence of the French Revolution on other revolutionary events and movements in Europe is also examined. Furthermore, the article sets out to analyze the enduring legacy of the French Revolution, exploring how its ideals and principles, such as liberty, equality and fraternity, shaped the modern era and continue to influence contemporary society. In the end, this bibliographic review contributes to an in-depth understanding of the French Revolution as a significant historical phenomenon that marked a fundamental transition to the modern era.
