The recent Reform of Brazilian High School reopened the debate on the role of Schools in society. Therefore, this article seeks to understand how this phenomenon is inscribed in the Brazilian context. Through bibliographical research, it was found that, for each revolution in production models, there was a related school structure. It is possible to affirm that there was a reorganization of the school environment to respond to the demands of Taylorism-Fordism and those of Toyotism. The recent Reform of High School is part of this logic and, in the midst of a strong program of productive restructuring, it seeks to readapt school curricula to face the neoliberal demands for workforce training for a precarious labor market.
