Depression is one of the mental disorders that affects children and adolescents and has now become a worldwide public health problem. The disease is a pathology that must be treated from the onset of symptoms and involves the participation of a multi-professional team made up of doctors, therapists, psychologists, and social workers. With these aspects in mind, the aim of this study was to present the interventions of the Social Work in children and adolescents with depression. With this in mind, the method used was exploratory research, with the aim of mapping the number of scientific studies available in Brazil on the subject. To systematize and operationalize the data collected, we used thematic analysis as an analytical procedure, following the methodological steps proposed by Minayo (2007) and Severino (2013). Finally, the results of the research pointed to a significant increase in studies on depression in childhood and adolescence, as well as highlighting the contributions of social workers in mental health policy.
