This article presents and analyzes the pedagogical experience carried out on September 11, 2025, at Escola Municipal Professor Calixto Varela de Albuquerque Filho, in Maracajaú, district of Maxaranguape/RN, within the scope of the Ciranda Potiguar project. The activity involved students from the 1st to the 5th grade of elementary school, their families, and the school staff, promoting educational practices rooted in popular culture. The experience aimed to value local identity, bringing the school closer to community traditions and strengthening the connection between formal knowledge and cultural experiences. The report is discussed in light of theoretical references from the history of education, Freirean pedagogy, and the BNCC guidelines, highlighting the ciranda as a pedagogical practice capable of integrating interdisciplinarity, affectivity, and community belonging.
