Na entrevista, a professora Ana Veiga fala sobre os desafios da profissão de historiador diante do crescimento da extrema-direita, defendendo a História como uma forma de resistência e enfrentamento às fake news. Ela destaca a importância da História pública e do uso das redes sociais para combater versões distorcidas dos fatos. A professora também aponta a transformação nas universidades com a entrada de estudantes cotistas e a necessidade de métodos de ensino mais inclusivos. Reforça que o trabalho dos historiadores deve se aproximar dos movimentos sociais, especialmente em temas como a história ambiental. Por fim, incentiva os novos profissionais de História a não desistirem, insistindo na união e na esperança por uma sociedade mais justa.
