The objective of this work is to report the experience of operating a remote extension course offered by a project linked to the School of Social Service (ESS/UFRJ), which involved 75 students, including subscribers and listeners. The course, inserted in the context of virtualization of Education, was designed to encourage students to reflect on the state of the art of care and on the concepts of active citizenship. When writing this experience report, based on the methodology of the case study, we will propose a descriptive and qualitative analysis of the diverse profile of students and professors, in addition to the contents taught and indications of complementary materials. Thus, it is possible to think of contributions of the referred action in the mitigation of some social problems.
