THE TRILHAS POTIGUARES PROGRAM AND ITS EXTENSIONIST EXECUTION: AN EXPERIENCE REPORT IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF SERRA NEGRA DO NORTE/RN

ABSTRACT

This report addresses theoretical and practical dimensions of the project "Trilhas Potiguares - Edição 2022 - Serra Negra do Norte", of "Pró-Reitoria de Extensão" (PROEX) of Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN). It discusses about sustainable development  and the contributions from academical literature.  The acquired experiences on the many colective actions are a result of the exchange of knowlegde from a diverse target audience, aiming cultural and socioeconomic growth to both the population and the members of the aforementioned project. The thematic approaches, oriented to education, technology, environment and human rights, highlighted on scheduled and developed works, signaled mostly about health, hope and the feeling of citizenship. Furthermore, they attest that the interaction and autocritic dialogues between the university and all partakers are relevant, meeting both individual and public needs and setting a synchrony between respect, academical knowledge, culture and local tradition.
