Stroke is the impairment of the blood supply to the brain, which can lead to various clinical changes, and is one of the main causes of death and disability worldwide. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, outpatient services were suspended due to social isolation, causing negative impacts on individuals who needed interventions. Telerehabilitation was a physiotherapeutic assistence strategy used to enable continuity of care for stroke patients. This study is na experience report from physiotherapy students participating in the extension project "Telerehabilitation in individuals with stroke " at UFRN. The community benefited from rehabilitation sessions and health education, while the students acquired new caregiving skills.
