ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION TO CO MBAT THE BREEDING OF CAPTIVE BIRDS IN CANGUARETAMA-RN

With the aim of working on environmental education to combat the breeding of birds in domestic captivity and arouse interest in caring for animal welfare, a literature review was initially carried out to identify the main species of wild birds raised in prison. municipality of Canguaretama-RN. Afterwards, a exhibition was organized with artistic productions on the theme by teachers and students from IFRN Campus Canguaretama. The team also produced banners, booklets and other teaching materials, which were presented and distributed on a radio, in six municipal public schools and during IFRN's IV Science, Technology and Extension Week. The project reached around 4600 people, thus fulfilling its objectives.
