Abstract

This article discusses the concept of photocoreography, a neologism developed by the autor in her research. The central idea is to think about the possible conections between composition in photography and in dance. Through the perspective of the photographer/dancer, who researches improvisation and composition in real time in dance, it aims to investigate the materiality of the photographic act as an improvisational field, from the composition of the scene and its capture to its exhibition process.
