PRÉ-NATAL ODONTOLÓGICO: PERCEPÇÃO DAS GESTANTES ATENDIDAS NO MUNICÍPIO DE VILHENA- RO

ABSTRACT
Introduction: Dental Prenatal is a support program for pregnant women focused on oral health that offers personalized treatment, providing more confidence and security for the pregnant woman. However, there are still many barriers to accessing these services in primary care. Objective: Evaluate the perception of pregnant women who are undergoing prenatal care at the Basic Health Units in the municipality of Vilhena (RO) regarding the importance of dental prenatal care, as well as their oral health. Methodology: A questionnaire with direct questions was applied in the Basic Health Units. Results: When questioned about their perception of oral health, most pregnant women stated that their oral health was in good condition (71.2%) and 28.8% were not satisfied with their oral health. Conclusions: Therefore, the pregnant women had this study shows a positive self-perception in relation to oral health, showing a greater interest in listening to the professional dentist and, consequently, better care for oral health.
