The present study deals with a film analysis that seeks to investigate the documentary “Prison With no Locks”, to verify the interfaces of the Brazilian prison system’s resocialization through the Association of Protection and Assistance to the Condemnate (APAC). The study is divided into three chapters. In the first moment, a reflection is made about the Prison System and the APAC Method, exploring the APAC method as a model of a humanitarian prison system that does not have the severity of the traditional system. Finally, it investigates the family ties, the community reintegration and the process of reintegration through professionalization and religion. It was concluded that, despite the APAC objectifying or strengthening bonds of individuals with society and family members, it still disputes with the culture of punishment and disintegration of the subject. In addition, there is still a unidirectional religious focus and few actions with the female audience.
