Abstract

In this work we think of how organizational discourses act on corporeality. The objective of this study is to understand the influence of organizational discourse in the process of body conformation of male gay workers. For that purpose, we used the concepts of performativity and power, speech and heteronormativity, and the narratives of five male gay workers, collected through interviews with an open questionnaire, about their professional trajectories and their interactions in the organizational environment. We applied the French Discourse Analysis on these narratives, identifying seven discursive resources and conclude that these resources influence the construction of the bodies of these workers within a heteronormative context.
