5S PROGRAM AND NEW PERSPECTIVES IN THE TOTAL QUALITY MANAGEMENT

Abstract

The aim of this article is to present the 8S program in the light of contemporary concepts of Total Quality. With new trends in the total quality management is no longer only related to the actions and policies, procedures, partial or corrective actions to achieve organizational success. Currently, it translates into a macro business planning, where the measures, alternatives and tools for the transformation are the key objectives worked parallel new trends in total quality. The program was analyzed in both its theoretical and practical contents through the analysis of qualitative character, using electronic data and document. Within the new perspectives of management, the tool has been subject improvements, ie there was a systematic evolution. One such improvement was the change from program to process, a factor that reflects the organization's involvement, from senior management to shop floor.
