Abstract

Given that concern for the environment has been increasing in recent years, generating a public more informed and demanding consumers regarding the environmental practices by firms, it is clear the need to innovate in applying these Clean Technologies, with in order to remain on the market. In this quest for cleaner and sustainable mechanisms emerges Industrial Ecology targeting the sustainable use of natural resources. This article seeks to present challenges to obtaining an Industrial Ecology, which will be presented by the Industrial Symbiosis which in turn is inserted into a process of Eco Industrial Parks. Objectify also make a connection between the idea of ??industrial districts proposed by Marshall with new global trends of production represented by Eco Industrial Parks, the prospect of deploying these in Brazil. For this literature searches were performed and documented as well as interpretations of the theme. We realize, in this study, the importance of innovation in relation to production processes as a way of maintaining market companies, as well as improving the quality of life of the population, thus ensuring the supply of the needs of future generations.
