Abstract

This article aims to analyze the Strategic Alignment in Information Technology of a company in the branch of furniture and appliances located in the interior of Rio Grande do Norte. The work can be considered relevant because it is a strategic action against the competitive market, which is not well defined in the sector in question, the organization can lose market and have financial problems. For this purpose, a qualitative observational study was carried out involving a case study. The research notes that the study organization uses IT as an alternative to overcome competition, through its use in internal processes and finding new markets, in relation to strategic alignment, it uses the differentiation of Porter combined with the focus due to the current scenario that it is found. It concludes that the organization studied effectively adopts IT actions in its organizational structure and strategic alignment, but suggests a greater focus on integrated inventory management through sales through the use of ERP and in route management. The Thematic Group chosen to present the article is the 10 - Training, business environment, government and the third sector.
