Abstract

The present work has the following teaching objectives: to discuss the career orientations and the professional choices that will lead to its objective; foster issues such as the influence of motivation, commitment and the meaning of work for professionals in the present day; reflect on the importance of establishing a career plan with defined goals for the short, medium and long term; to know the career policies that companies adopt today and how professionals participate in it. The data for the elaboration of this case were obtained through an interview granted by Maria Luiza to the author. The case was designed for use in disciplines that address the themes of Motivation, Career Management, Meaning of Work, Commitment, both at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
