SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT BEFORE THE CONTEMPORARY PARADIGMATIC CRISIS AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE

The theme turns its attention to the sustainable development. For this purpose, it aimed to analyze the contemporary paradigmatic crisis and the environmental issue as the context of the sustainable development. The outlining was of a theoretical/conceptual article, presenting and discussing the contextualization and the significance of the topic in its complexity. The results present a scenario created through the reflection of authors considered post-modern and evince that the uncertainty is established exactly through this paradigmatic crisis. Moving forward with the thinking, specifically in the sustainable development, the environmental issue is revealed as caused by a human crisis. It emerges from the attempt of changing a paradigm secularly instituted, since the Industrial Revolution.
