Pregnancy and abortion during the new coronavirus pandemic: an integrative literature review

On February 11, 2020, the World Health Organization defined the nomenclature of the disease as Covid-19 (Corona Virus Disease 2019), classified as a pandemic in March 2020. The present study aims to carry out an integrative review of the disease literature on pregnancy and abortion during the new coronavirus pandemic. Thus, the study is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, of the integrative literature review type, a method that allows a broad analysis of the literature on a specific topic. The research was guided by the following research problem: “What the literature addresses about abortion and pregnancy of women infected by covid-19 during the pandemic. Two thematic categories were created to discuss the data, namely: Contamination by COVID-19 in pregnant women and the relation of abortions during the covid-19 pandemic.
