teorias antropológicas da navegação a partir de dois casos etnográficos

Através do contraste entre duas formas de navegação distintas, oriundas das Ilhas Carolinas e das Ilhas Marshall, na Micronésia, buscamos discutir duas abordagens teóricas prevalentes nas discussões sobre navegação na antropologia – a teoria cognitiva da navegação e a teoria do descobrir caminho. Enfatizando as possibilidades e limites de cada abordagem, argumentamos pela complementaridade destes aparatos teóricos no estudo antropológico da navegação.
