Abstract

In this article, I develop a reflection on the notions of technique and technology inspired by the approach of symmetrical anthropology, having as reference the ethnography of a research in the area of ??pharmacognosy of medicinal plants, involving pharmacologists and a riverine community located in the region of the Upper Amazon. This initiative aims at the production of phytotherapics and other natural products from substances and biochemicals found in Amazonian plant species, a process that involves a set of activities of translation of knowledge from one context to the other.
