In this article, we analyze the term "transmutation" in two Works by the artist Castiel Vitorino Brasileiro, an intellectual, travesti, writer, and clinical psychologist: Corpoflor and Eclipse: espaço perecível de liberdade. In her intellectual and artistic production, she advocates for transmutation as a fundamental life principle. She understands that the experience of transfiguring her own form does not limit itself to a gender issue but it constitutes an intrinsic characteristic of all living beings on this planet. Castiel expands her reflections from the intimate relationships that travesti people and Black bodies develop with other non-human beings. The article traces a rhizomatic path between the issues and materialities involved in the two works and the discussions of Tiganá Santana, Conceição Almeida, Edgar Morin and Bunseki Fu-Kiau.
