O artigo analisa a formação da comunidade de Brasília Teimosa em Natal, no contexto das transformações urbanas da década de 1960. A partir dos conceitos de "direito à cidade", de Lefebvre, e da "produção capitalista do espaço", de Harvey, discute-se a exclusão territorial e a luta por moradia das populações marginalizadas. Brasília Teimosa emerge como um exemplo emblemático da resistência popular em meio às dinâmicas de especulação imobiliária e segregação espacial. Para isso, utilizam-se fontes históricas e a metodologia da análise do discurso de Norman Fairclough, evidenciando as relações entre práticas discursivas e estruturas sociais excludentes.
