This paper seeks to weave an introduction to the study of the Spartan Religious Landscape, attempt to through the historical documentation, material of the production of the landscape as a complex cultural product, composed by a visual plot, elaborated by a network of temples and sanctuaries, a spiritual wall that had protected the city for centuries. It is intended to demonstrate the potential of landscape analysis in the case of the study of Hellenic political communities, the polis, mainly in their physical manner; as well as expanding knowledge about Sparta and Spartans, beyond those more common, linked to militarism and warlike.
