O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar o episódio “Guerras da Conquista” da série documental Guerras do Brasil.doc à luz da História Pública, buscando compreender a produção apropriou-se e mobilizou o conhecimento histórico sobre as chamadas guerras de conquista, para transmitir ao grande público a relevância e o impacto das guerras envolvendo forças luso-brasílicas e grupos indígenas, incluindo a chamada “Guerra dos Bárbaros”, na formação social e territorial do Brasil. Para tanto, desenvolveu-se uma análise crítica da construção audiovisual do episódio, destacando como as narrativas históricas foram reinterpretadas e comunicadas ao público.
