In the emergence of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, this experience report seeks to analyze and reflect on the experiences and perceptions of the use of the SUS Virtual Learning Environment (AVASUS - in portuguease: Ambiente Virtual de Aprendizagem do SUS) as a professional and academic learning tool for health-related topics, focusing on modules with content related to COVID-19. In this present work, access to the online platform, AVASUS, as well as enrollment in educational modules related to COVID-19 were carried out. With a total of 87 class hours and 145,490 enrollments, these modules had great repercussions, offering reliable and updated information about the virus; clinical management of patients and care measures for health professionals themselves. Thus, AVASUS presents itself as a possible alternative for training and updating its users for periods of social isolation.
