USE OF INTEGRATIVE AND COMPLEMENTARY PRACTICES IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN THE INTERIOR OF RIO GRANDE DO NORTE

The Trilhas Potiguares extension program, carried out in 2023 in the city of Serra Negra do Norte, developed a set of actions in the municipality that contributed to the exchange of knowledge between the university and the community. One of the demands raised by the local coordinators of the municipality was the mental health of students. Based on this need, action was developed with Integrative and Complementary Practices, in three schools, with seven classes in total. The following practices were developed: aromatherapy, yoga and meditation. The objective of this action was to present therapeutic practices as a strategy to prevent health problems and reinforce the importance of building therapeutic bonds and the connection between human beings, the environment and society.
