Abstract

This article discusses several aspects one can work on improvisation.  It focuses on movement investigation, choreographic creation, and the scene, highlighting these three aspects in a non-hierarchical way. The article considers the non-dichotomy between technique and creation and promotes reflection on the body as the protagonist of improvisational creation in the studio and on the stage. The notion of improvisation here is based on the Klauss Vianna Technique, and it is discussed stemming from listening to the body and presence studies.
