The approach initially focuses on the writer's medieval myth recreation about The Land of Cockaygne and its updating to the cultural context of the italian immigration region in Rio Grande do Sul; then, the paper approaches parody as the preferred writing technique by the author to criticize local and national behaviors and institutions; and, finally, it deals with the detrimental look at the cockayne bard on the literary system in which it is situated.
