O Índice Small Caps da B3 segue um Passeio Aleatório?

Este estudo investiga a eficiência do mercado do índice Small Caps (SMLL) da B3 (Brasil, Bolsa e Balcão – bolsa de valores do Brasil) aplicando testes de raiz unitária (ADF e KPSS) e analisando quebras estruturais. Os resultados indicam que a série temporal do SMLL segue um passeio aleatório, o que é consistente com a forma fraca da Hipótese dos Mercados Eficientes (HME). A presença de múltiplas quebras estruturais sugere que o mercado reage eficientemente a novas informações, alinhando-se com a forma semiforte da HME.
