Abstract

Since 2008, Brazilian accounting has faced significant changes due to the convergence of international accounting standards. The emphasis on budgetary aspects gave room for the patrimony aspects and government accounting was reformulated. The purpose of this review is to present the central ideas of the book Budget, Accounting and Management in the Public Sector, written by Professor Dra. Diana Vaz de Lima, who deals with accounting under these new parameters.
