Polimorfismo em genes associados à suscetibilidade para a tuberculose

Resumo

Introdução: A tuberculose (TB) é uma doença crônica e infectocontagiosa, está como uma das doenças com maior número de óbitos, sendo que em 2016 cerca de 6,1 milhões de novos casos foram notificados e cerca de 6,1 milhões de pessoas foram acometidas pela doença no mundo. E segundo dados da Organização Mundial da Saúde (OMS) estimou que em 2014, 1,5 milhões de pessoas morreram por tuberculose. A tuberculose (TB) tem como causa principal a infecção do indivíduo pela Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb), essa doença possui uma apresentação clínica que acomete principalmente os pulmões, podendo invadir também outros órgãos. Apenas a infecção pela bactéria não é suficiente para causar a doença, alguns fatores também interferem para a evolução da doença como o estado imunológico do indivíduo, interações genética e fatores ambientais são sugeridos para o desenvolvimento da TB. Objetivos: Explanar sobre os polimorfismos nos genes SLC11A1, IL-10, TNF-α e INF- γ, e do receptor de vitamina D (VDR), e compreender suas funções imunológicas para combater a bactéria, diferenciando assim as variações genéticas nas bases nitrogenadas desses genes. Metodologia: Foram realizadas pesquisas qualitativas e quantitativas em bases nacionais e internacionais, Medline, Scientific Eletronic Library On-line (SCIELO), Scholar Google (Google Acadêmico), Pubmed e Biblioteca virtual de saúde (Bvs), considerando elegíveis os estudos nas línguas portuguesa e inglesa, além de livros, teses e dissertações. Resultados: Os SNPs são os principais tipos de polimorfismos relacionado à suscetibilidade do indivíduo à doença infecciosa, e podem estar em diferentes regiões do DNA. O envolvimento dos SNPs em doenças infecciosas vem sendo estudados, e muitos experimentos tem sido desenvolvido para identificar os fatores genéticos associados à suscetibilidade à alguma doença, principalmente pela TB. Conclusão: Por ser uma doença muito complexa, é importante o avanço de pesquisas genéticas da TB, para entender sobre a atuação dos genes na suscetibilidade do indivíduo a doença. Assim como contribui para o desenvolvimento de vacinas e tratamentos para controlar a doença.
